HONG KONG, Jan. 26 (Xinhua) -- A magnitude-6.2 earthquake jolted 50km SW of Chirovanga, Solomon Islands at 03:51:38 GMT on Saturday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 357.83 km, was initially determined to be at 7.0161 degrees south latitude and 156.2912 degrees east longitude.
