BEIJING, Oct. 25 (Xinhua) -- The 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) received good wishes from foreign leaders, political parties and organizations around the world before it concluded on Tuesday.

The messages speak highly of the CPC's leadership as well as China's socio-economic development and global contributions, and express full confidence that the CPC will lead China to even greater prosperity.

The following is an edited summary of some of the messages.

China's sustained economic growth has provided a reference model for numerous developing countries including Namibia. With practical actions, the CPC and Chinese people have vividly illustrated "A friend in need is a friend indeed." The Chinese people and Namibian people are friends indeed.

Khaleda Zia, chairperson of Bangladesh Nationalist Party and former prime minister of Bangladesh:

Through unremitting efforts, the CPC has been continuously promoting modernization of the country. After the 19th CPC National Congress, the CPC will definitely lead China to achieve greater success, opening a new chapter in building a modern society and establishing a harmonious world.
