ISLAMABAD, May 1 (Xinhua) -- Pakistan's security forces killed 13 terrorists as they foiled two infiltration attempts along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in the northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, the military said on Thursday.
The operations were carried out on Tuesday and Wednesday in Mohmand and North Waziristan districts, the Inter-Services Public Relations said.
In Mohmand, troops engaged a group attempting to cross the border, killing eight terrorists. In North Waziristan, five more were killed in a separate clash after another infiltration attempt was thwarted.
The military said clearance operations are ongoing to eliminate any remaining militants. ■
